Baseball Prospectus – Prospectus Today: Where Credit is Due

I used to love Baseball Prospectus, and hate it, too. Sometimes.

I hope the reasons would be obvious, but if not, that’s only because you didn’t read enough BP.

This year I decided not to pay the $40 for BP. Call me cheap. I missed the statistical charts and would gladly have paid, um, er, I don’t know. I think I would have paid $40 for them if I’d thought about it. But the whole BP smugness always griped me and I chose not to spend the dough.

So, here I am, finding in the ether a very very smart Joe Sheehan piece that exemplifies every reason you won’t be wasting your money reading these guys.

If you love this stuff and have the money, subscribe. Me, I’m thinking of the various Italian sheeps milk cheeses I’d prefer to splurge on. And my ambition to some day not have to choose.
